There are some compulsory parts of hardware of a computer which perform their job accordingly. For example, Random Access Memory (RAM) helps to run the applications and software. These components or parts are called specifications or specs. Computer (PC)/Laptop specifications (specs) describe hardware components and their utilization in the devices. All the specifications are interlinked with each other. In the following article, we get to know about How to check computer specs? So please don’t skip the article from anywhere and read it carefully because it will be very useful for all of you guys.

Hence, t seems tricky to check computer specs that are very important to know while purchasing a computer. But don’t worry, here we will guide you on how to check the important computer specifications.

Processor:

This term processor usually refers to the term CPU (Central Processing Unit). Normally the process relates to the data processing speed, which is measured in GHz (gigahertz). Higher GHz shows the higher rate of the processor.

To check that what processor your computer has, do the following:

  1. On the bottom left-hand side of your screen, right-click on the Windows start menu icon.
  2. In the menu, click on the “System” that pops up.
  3. Then to ‘Processor,’ here, you will see the list of what kind of CPU you have in your computer.

RAM (Random Access Memory):

 Random-access memory (RAM) is the short-term memory of a computer device, this memory is used to handle all the applications, and it helps run the program/activities. No file, app, game, streams work without RAM. It is measured in GBs (gigabytes).

To check the RAM of your computer;

To check this;

  1. Open the System Information file.
  2.  In the System Information window, click the + symbol next to Components.
  3. Click the + next to Storage and click Drives.
  4. On the right side of the window, the information about the hard drive, such as its capacity or serial number, is all listed here.

Graphics Cards

A graphic card could also be referred to as a GPU. It’s the piece of the computer that takes digital data, translates it, and presents it in visual form to the monitor. For a better display of visual data, you must have a higher quality GPU. This is particularly important for Graphic designers to check computer specs.

To find out that what GPU you have in your PC;

  1. Right-click on the Windows start menu icon.
